Cooperative for holiday home rentals
 What's the idea?

Whatabout holiday is a cooperative (i/o) of holiday home owners who run a booking site together. For a fair and low annual fee, they are members and decide on everything.

A much fairer model for both you as a holidaymaker and us as owners. So book your holiday via WhatAbout.holiday.

 Who is the cooperative for?

The WhatAbout.holiday cooperative is from and for holiday home owners/landlords.

A cooperative has members who together determine the direction. The aim is to keep costs low. That way, we are strong together.

We meet twice a year to evaluate and determine the strategy. Attending this meeting is, of course, without obligation.

Why a cooperative?

A lot of money is made by booking sites through which a landlord can rent out his holiday home. Most sites work on the basis of commission. This can amount to thousands of euros'per year.

WhatAbout.holiday we think this is disproportionate. That is why it is time for a different voice and whatabout holiday has been set up. A site for and by landlords.

WhatAbout.holiday was launched in early 2022 and as a participating landlord you get to help set the course.

The site is based on the successful booking site ontheWadden.com which has been further developed over the years (2000+ participants);
 Accomodations are shown ad random so no ads (democratic model);
 The landlord has an own minisite which can be used in correspondence or other communications;
 All entries look calm and uniform (editorial);
 The site is trilingual, Dutch, German and English (will possibly be extended);

Cooperative - in conclusion...

 Reviews can only be left if the tenant has actually been there.
 The agenda/calendar of WhatAbout.holiday can be exported to other sites (e.g. AirBnB) using a Google Calendar link (iCal).
