Almost every town or village in Malaga has a colourful and lively street market, once or twice a week. Some places also have regular flea markets, car boot sales, antique or art markets.

In summer and during the many festivals, there are often evening markets. The larger towns have a daily covered market where fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables are sold.

The markets in Malaga are generally very varied, offering fruit, vegetables, clothing, flowers and plants, as well as local produce, seasonal items and handicrafts such as wicker baskets and ceramics. Usually, most street markets and covered markets are open from 9 am to 2 pm
