The landscape of the province of Cordoba is diverse: rolling plains, the river Guadalquivir and the rugged mountain range "Sierra Morena". There are many white mountain villages full of old monuments and buildings, and Moorish castles.
The "Sierra de Hornachuelos" is a natural park in the province of Cordoba, located in the Sierra Morena, and home to colonies of vultures and many other species. The area has been designated a Biosphere Reserve.
