Provincie Granada

Granada is a province in southeast Spain in the region of Andalusia. The capital of the province is the city of Granada. Here you will also find the Alhambra fortress, which is worth a visit. The coastline of the province of Granada is also called the Costa Tropical with coastal towns like Motril and Almuñecar.

Further inland is the Sierra Nevada; with the highest mountain peaks in Spain. You can also ski here! Sierra Nevada in Spanish means: snowy mountain range. In the winter, there are more than 100 kilometres of ski slopes here.

The climate here is ideal. You can have a great holiday on the Costa Tropical with average temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius. The coast here is not very touristic yet. Almuñecar, Salobreña and la Herradura are villages that are still quite authentic. You will not see many high-rise buildings.
